Paul Doyle, manager of several Jamaican athletes, walked away unharmed from an airplane crash in the Virginia mountains on Saturday.
Doyle, the manager of Asafa Powell, Shericka Williams, Brigitte Foster-Hylton, Markino Buckley, Michael Frater and Sherone Simpson among others, make an emergency landing.
A release on Doyle Management website, explained: “We are very blessed to report that Paul Doyle and his wife, Irish athlete Karen Shinkins walked away unharmed from an airplane crash in the Virginia mountians yesterday (Saturday).
“Paul was piloting his Cessna 172 on his was back home to Atlanta from a meeting in Blacksburg, VA. Due to inclemet weather conditions, he was forced to make an emergency landing in a short field in the mountians near Elk Creek, Virginia. Both Paul and Karen walked away from the crash site with only minor injuries,” concluded the release.
Paul also coached Olympic athletes from 12 different countries, including Olympic Champion Pauline Davis of the Bahamas, as well as multiple World Champions and World Record Holders. He founded Doyle Management in 1999 to represent some of the athletes he was coaching.
