‘Don’t be afraid,’ is the word leaving the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) to residents of Tivoli Garden and Denham Town as numerous barricades have been mounted in the West Kingston Divison.

According to intelligence obtained by us,  in an effort to protect the alleged strongman Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke, barbed wire attached to high voltage Jamaica Public Service electricity distribution lines are serving as the method of fortification.

Additionally, local media reports noted that Liquid petroleum gas cylinders  have also been inserted into the barricades.

Police intelligence said that besides building barricades, criminals are preventing residents from leaving and are also confiscating mobile phones. The police have also confirmed that one of their armoured personnel carriers was shot-up this morning while travelling in Denham Town community.

In a release issued by local newspaper Jamaica Observer they quoted a statement from the JCF, “The Police are also appealing to these residents to report any acts of criminality and are assuring these citizens that they have nothing to fear from the presence of the security forces as we intend to conduct our operations in a professional manner in accordance with the law and in the interest of all concerned”.

Residents can call police control at 119 or senior duty officers at 978-6462 and 927-7778 to report any concerns or any information coming to their notice.
