The verdict is out after eight years after the jury hit a deadlock that dragged out the reckless manslaughter charge against the former NBA and New Jersey Nets Star Jayson Williams. The Ex-player was given a five-year sentence for the 2002 shooting incident that led to the death of limo driver Costas Christofi.

Williams, who tearfully apologized to the family of Christofi, will be eligible for parole after serving one and a half years of his sentence.  In responding Andrea Adams, the sister of Christofi said that five-years was too short for the gravity of the crime.
