Digicel, proud sponsors of Jamaican track and field and proud sponsors of World Championship and Olympic gold medalist Shelly-Ann Fraser, has partnered with Grace Foods and MVP Track and Field Club to host a grand welcome celebration for the 100m sprint sensation Shelly-Ann Fraser. This will take place in Fraser’s home community of Waterhouse on Friday September 25th, 2009.
Senior Sponsorship Manager at Digicel, Shelly-Ann Curran said, “Digicel believes in building community spirit and development and celebrating the remarkable achievement of young talents in Jamaica and this is no different with Shelly-Ann Fraser’s homecoming celebration.”
Marketing Manager of Grace Foods, Gabrielle Sang, also shared similar sentiments as she pointed out that, “Grace Foods decided to support Shelly-Ann Fraser in celebrating her achievement with her community because she is an inspiration to all Jamaicans and Grace Foods shares in her belief that it doesn’t matter where you come from, but where you are going.”
Bruce James, President of MVP Track Club, noted also that he too is very proud to see that as Shelly-Ann Fraser achieves more success internationally, she continues to remember her roots and give back to her community
The home coming celebration will be held between 1-4pm and will also be attended by Member of Parliament for Central Kingston, Hon. Anthony Hylton, President of MVP track club, Bruce James and other dignitaries and officials.
